從打工換宿到定居花蓮 Jason的生活點滴

Surprising first day in Australia

  After seven more hours of flight, my partner and I finally arrived at Brisbane airport. Before I talk about what happened today, let’s trace back to what happened on the flight.

          Before my partner went into the flight, he had already felt uncomfortable with his stomach. After around one hour, he threw up his food in the paper bag in front of the seat, what a poor man!

          That’s talking about my flight meal, an unstimulated meal! And it tasted very light for sure, and I think it tasted very light not only the flavour itself but also because of the high altitude made my tongue feel more numb.

          And this happened after we arrived at the airport. You will not believe it will happen!! The woman who is supposed to bring us to her sharehouse works overtime today, so she can’t bring us from the airport anymore!! She didn’t even tell us in advance. We had already been waiting in the airport for more than one hour when she responded to our message...  

        Suddenly, an Asian man came to my partner and asked him if he had a stab to open the iphone or not. Luckily, my partner owned one and we started a conversation. He’s a Taiwanese guy who lives in Sunnybank now, when he knew our situation, he decided to rent  us his room which he decided to rent until we find a new place. He didn’t rent it for a long while because people who stayed in this room needed to share a bathroom  with him.

          Finally, we went to his house with his family and decided to rent for one week in their house. In the afternoon, one of the backpackers in the house went out with us helping us create our own bank account in Anz  and buying a GO card, the public transportation one, cell phone number prepaid card and some food around the place we live!

         It was so frustrating when we heard that the girl who rented us share house would not bring us back and we also couldn't find the car to her house. But it was so nice that we met the kind Taiwanese guy and also the kind people in the sharehouse helped us to settle down. We are so lucky on the first day in Australia!
